With a master bath and bedroom remodel, we started from the beginning in planning the master suite. All the furniture is new and was purchased through the design center. The client wanted a soothing taupe, and the coverlet and shams in a chamois suede match the walls. The black silk pillows are an elegant addition. Shutters complete the sleek but warm look of the room.
This couple had just relocated to one of the Four Seasons communities and wanted a beautiful look in their bedroom with custom bedding and window treatment. We selected the abstract print first and used it on the comforter, the window seat cushion and the cornice in the bathroom. I then found several solids and textures for the cornice/swag treatment, dust skirt and pillows. The harvest-colored swags are set off in the center by an acanthus spray antiqued in red. "Wilmington Tan" was used on the walls.
Ivory silk side panels are banded with gold and trimmed in elegant tassel fringe. Brushed gold rods and finials define the treatment. The plaid pillow is a subtle accent on the bed.
