Spring 2007

My client and I discussed ideas for his home theater when construction in his basement began. Once the wood paneling was selected, I then chose a deep brick red for the ceiling and a durable textured weave for the carpet.

A 6" solid black border highlights the angles and the steps that lead to the screen. I found teardrop sconces that softly illuminate the area.

The couple has three children and, after much thought, preferred to have sofa, loveseat and chair arrangements instead of the typical recliner chairs with cupholders. Everything was carefully sized out to work around the angles in the room.

The furniture is customized by Pearson, and the fabric is a supple yet durable black leather. Ottomans have casters to easily move back and forth.
