The client began with a yellow stripe chair in her living room, and we built upon that with the tufted chair in gold and apple green textured chair in the foreground. Her wall behind the bookcases was painted in a soft green to match the chair, and the room immediately had a different feel.

A soft sheer with a damask background was used for the window treatments and then set off with a petite ball fringe in green, soft yellow and pink. Sheer swags were placed on the large windows. A side drapery and top valance window treatment framed the door out to the deck. The sheer was selected because the gorgeous view had to be preserved.

 

 

 

This warm sunny living room beckons. The room was planned after the kids´ toys were moved to the basement. All of the upholstered pieces are custom. Petite tassel fringe in red, green and yellow accent the yellow swags and jabots window treatments beautifully.

When I began this project, the client had an ivory damask sofa, cherry wall unit and wing chairs in a dated fabric.

We built the room around a new color scheme and added "golden retriever" on the walls, layered sheers and drapery window treatments, newly-upholstered wing chairs, area carpet, and all new accent pieces in the room.
